Hi, I'm Gonzalo / Nyasper |

"Nyasper" is the Japanese name of Espurr — a Pokémon. That psychic cat with an existential stare on my GitHub profile picture. Somehow the name just stuck with me.

That moment when something finally clicks after hours of being completely lost. Your brain was working the whole time without telling you — and then, out of nowhere, it just hands you the answer. Also the fact that the ceiling doesn't exist. There's always a deeper layer, a better pattern, something you hadn't considered, no matter how much you learn, there's always another level waiting.

Going to the gym or taking walks while listening to music and reflecting on life.

Programming feels like a game where every bug is a boss fight and every project unlocks a new skill tree. I started because I was curious, but I stayed because I enjoy the process of building things and figuring out how they work.

Definitely not an expert in all of them — and that's kind of the point. I believe knowing a tool exists is half the battle. You don't need to master everything, but you need to know when to reach for it. A carpenter doesn't use the same tool for every job.

Not because it's trendy. I use it because it gets out of my way. Less boilerplate, cleaner code, and it makes building feel closer to thinking. Once you write a component in Svelte, going back feels like typing with oven mitts.

JavaScript was my entry point, but C# and .NET is where I actually learned to think like a developer. OOP, design patterns, dependency injection — concepts that changed how I approach every problem, regardless of the language. It doesn't get the spotlight on this portfolio, but it has a permanent place in how I think.

I think it's the most interesting and uncomfortable shift the industry has seen in a while. AI isn't replacing developers — it's redefining what one developer can do alone. I'd rather be someone who adapts than someone who complains, and honestly, I'm curious where this goes.
